The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Collegiate 4-H, FFA, and Farm Bureau club had quite the showing at the annual FFA Alumni Convention with multiple awards won and impactful student experiences gained.

The team successfully competed in various contests, earning several top spots. They secured first place in the Alumni T-Shirt Design Contest, Agricultural Business Employment Interview (George Wilson), Prepared Public Speaking (Maddie Roedell), Discussion Meet (Callie Robinson), Agricultural Education Employment Interview (Jenna Pittman), Quiz Bowl (Kendall Coffey, Lettie Jo Watson, George Wilson, Kendall Beard), and Agriculture Professions Employment Interview (Lettie Jo Watson).

Additional achievements included third place in Agricultural Communications Employment Interview (Laileigh Powell), Exempt Public Speaking (Harrison Lee), and Scrapbook (Kendall Coffey). Also, Brie McLerran won second place in Agricultural Production Interview. The team showed great skill and effort, making both UT Knoxville and Herbert proud.

The FFA Alumni Convention is about more than competitions. Members received the opportunity to visit several important agricultural places, including McEwen FFA Facilities, United Farm & Home CO-OP, and Creekwood FFA Facilities. At these locations, they saw how students learn about agriculture, learned about farm supplies and support services, and witnessed FFA programs in action. Ultimately, These tours helped members gain a deeper understanding of the agricultural industry and its impact.

“After the excitement of this year’s convention, the Collegiate 4-H, FFA, and Farm Bureau club is more motivated than ever,” said club secretary Kendall Beard. “The team is ready to keep learning, growing, and competing in future events.”

Congratulations, again, to the Collegiate 4-H, FFA, and Farm Bureau club for such an outstanding showing. You make #HerbertProud.
